Yes it’s been a while but I promise I haven’t abandoned photography or this account. Just taking some time as a lot of change has been going on in my life. The husband finally moved out, for those who remember me mentioning that, and I started a new job last week. Due to the job search I was taking time off from shooting until I new what my schedule was like. I had been booking so far in advance that I couldn’t risk having to cancel due to a possible change of schedule. Looks like this was a smart move since I now get out half-an-hour later, so evening shoots might become difficult.

Anyhow, so yeah, still shooting, just that it will be at a slower pace for now. Same goes for editing. In the meantime, what everyone watches this journal for, NEW IMAGES! From my last shoot before taking a break.

Yes, it’s been a while but I have been shooting. Have a lot going on in my personal life right now so I’m sort of just taking everything one step at a time. Had three great shoots in the past 2 weeks though and tons in line once schedules are worked out.

Anyway, I was hoping to show more similar images at once, but I’m really bouncing around with the editing, so I guess it will be a lot more one-offs.

Hello everyone. For those who might be interested in expanding your internet addiction I have 4 Vox invites left. So far I’m enjoying it and I have to admit that the photo integration is quite nice. Here’s my Vox for those interested in checking it out http://shatteredlens.vox.com/

It’s a photo journal as well but not the same as this one. This one is still where everything will go up first. Where I ask my questions about the photos to get advice, show various iterations and what-not. Vox, will be a combination of image and text posts although they will always center around photography.

Anyway, wanted to let people know that I had some invites and also an account over there for those of you that might be interested in checking it out. If you want one either give me your email address here, send it to me via the email address available on the info page, email me if you know it ect.

Hope to see some of you over there!

Another neck shoot and another one with a question mark attached. The more I look at the image the more I like it. And there were a potential few others. Unfortunately we were rather disappointed in the makeup. It wasn’t too bad for this shoot but we did a second one that is just not worth talking about. I think a little more should have been done to the eyes. She made her look extremely washed out because she wanted the focus on the eyes. For example, I had to digital edit color onto her lips. It’s slight what I put in but lets just say you can imagine the rest.

I think when I first looked through the ones that were part of the neck shoot I was tainted by unhappy I was in the second shoot. I told her she needed lip color for that one once I saw the final job, which she added, but the rest just looked so amateurish. Maybe we’ll just re-shoot the second half. We were thinking of creating a complete mask made out of the peacock feathers.

Anyway, yeah, now that I’ve probably biased everyone towards the image, I would to hear your unbiased opinions. Should we just re-shoot the whole thing or just the second half which was not for the neck project?

This was a depressing shoot that I will probably redo at sometime with a different model. I love the colors, the outfit, the makeup, but the model just wasn’t right. She was too stiff, didn’t know how to get into it and have fun. She comes off as wanting to be FHM/Maxim style but not really knowing how to get there. Not what the MUA and I were going for at all, but oh well. Kind of bummed but not worth getting upset over.

I’m going through and editing them for stock and I’ll share the ones that I feel are decent. Some are really close to what I want but just not exactly there. Oh well, there will always be someone else.

Wow, could it have been any longer since I last posted! This is definitely later in the day then I tend to like to post but if I don’t start getting images up I never will! Work is a zoo and my home computer is finally back up and running after several weeks of replacement HDs for replacement HDs.

Anyway, images still from the previous shoot.

It seems to be that people either love or hate this dress. Well, I love it and it’s the only real high fashion piece I have. I have some gowns, but this is for sure my most unique piece. We did a lot of different looks. The first half which these are from were the most "high fashion" and later on they get googier. So more to come!

I’ve been bad about posting lately. I still have a ton more from this shoot that I’m planning on editing and I had two more this weekend. My computer of course went down though which is putting me a bit behind. Hopefully it will be back up and running tonight but we’ll see.

In the meantime here’s a side view that I finally got around to editing.

The goal of this shoot was to still make it look like a fashion shoot and to show off her belly. So, while we weren’t shooting maternity clothes we still wanted to show a pregnant woman that was fashionable. Ok given very few people are going to walk around with their belly exposed but I’m sure you get the idea. Oh, and she's at seven months.
