Bio:

Shatteredlens is a photography-dedicated journal. This is a place for me to share my work and receive both positive and negative critiques, to learn from others, maybe teach something to someone else along the way, and help me to choose the “best” pieces to use on my website Shatteredlens Photography.

I will very rarely post something without a description of what it is, why I took it, and what draws me to the picture. To me, the story behind the image can be just as strong as the images themselves. If people want to know the technical details of an image – aperture, speed, ISO etc – let me know and I will post it assuming the information is available. If it’s pre-going digital I will most likely be unable to provide that information.

Feel free to add me. Dropping me a line when you do is always appreciated but not necessary. If you just want to lurk, feel free but comments are always welcome and encouraged. If you just want to tell me that my stuff sucks, and can only be negative, then don’t bother. I will erase all comments that are not constructive criticisms. Models:
I'm always looking for new people to work with. If you are interested, feel free to mention it as a comment in one of my posts. I will exchange Time for Prints/CD for any of the below projects or an idea that might interest me not listed below. No previous experience necessary.

Prints:
I currently do not have a direct link for prints but hope to make a decision on that soon. In the meantime feel free to leave a comment in my journal.

The Arsenal:
Canon 20D and a slew of lenses.
- Canon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Autofocus Lens: My primary lens.
- Canon Normal EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro Autofocus Lens: My obsession, my macro lens.
- The Original Lensbaby: My toy, my lensbaby.
- Canon Zoom EF 75-300mm f/1.4-5.6 II: My uncle gave it to me with my first canon a decade ago. It's too heavy for me to carry around and the only time I found it useful was for shooting a lunar eclipse.
- Canon Zoom Super Wide Angle EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Autofocus Lens: Because yes, there are times when wider would have been better.

Stock:
Every once in a while I get asked if my images are available as stock. I currently only submit to one company Shutterstock a subscription based micro-stock site. Images can be purchased individually on the sister site Stocktogo. They have the same image ID #s.
